Pastor Johnie L. Doctor & First Lady Dorothy F. Doctor
God said write the vision and make it plain.
Upon tablets, that whoever reads it may run with it.
For the visions is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak and not lie: though it lingers.
Wait for it; because it will surely come, and will not delay.
Pastor Johnnie Doctor desired to see the people of The Lighthouse for Jesus (TLJ) be prosperous and thriving in their lives and ministry. He saw a people operating on One Accord in the Power of God as they moved forward in the things of God. TLJ was envisioned as a tightly knit and unified family-like ministry where brotherly and sisterly love of Christ and each other flowed free and unhindered.
TLJ was envisioned as a ministry that serviced the community in multiple ways. Part of its heartbeat would include provisions for the needs of the elderly and the homeless. Care for the well-being of un-wed mothers and their children was to be included in this vision. Through his eyes, TLJ was also supposed to feed the hungry and lead the unsaved to Jesus Christ.
Pastor Doctor envisioned TLJ in a dome that sat on many acres of land. Perhaps as he saw it the would be a bright light to the entire world. His vision further showed him that TLJ would have more than one campus TLJ2.
Training in the word, a beautiful Spirit and life experiences allowed God to use him speak to His people in ways that were easy to understand and apply to their daily lives. In response to whom he represented to so many in TLJ, he was affectionately called Papa by attendees, and as a Papa should, he loved TLJ with a love that was pure and unconditional.
